It is not simply that spirits may lie or be untruthful since there are deities which shamans consult which are honest as well. Also, shamans (which include witches) are known to violate the edict of separation by actually inviting spirits into their bodies through possession. Such spirits are called "unclean" not because they were evil or wicked but that they mix with a human body!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09266802451890276883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1948329512211077551.post-54510194121728381372013-04-05T19:21:11.861-06:002013-04-05T19:21:11.861-06:00The Holy Spirit cannot lie. The Bible from beginning to end upholds the hope of a bodily resurrection on the day of the Lord. This is part of the all-sufficient work of Messiah who trampled down death by death, lifted the curse and restores paradise and perfect communion with God.Alice C. The mediums or mediation between transmigration or transitional states, the communicants with the spirit world were often female diviners with their serpent mediums that we find in ancient and still today in some indigenous cultures around the world. To what extent if any do the Abrahamic religions in their conceptions of the spirit world differ from that of African and other indigenous religious expressions and beliefs?nigushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06350656178450018602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1948329512211077551.post-39131264362871633312013-04-05T18:15:05.480-06:002013-04-05T18:15:05.480-06:00You stated that the Biblical prophets knew what sh...You stated that the Biblical prophets knew what shamans worldwide know - that the spirits sometimes lie. They must have also known that such includes, indeed does not exempt Yahweh and his spirits as sometime liars and deceivers as well. "And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I WILL BE A LYING SPIRIT in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade [him], and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put A LYING SPIRIT in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee." (1Ki 22:22,23) Then there is the "lying prophet" of 1Kings 13:18. Then we have Yahweh the<br />-deciever- "And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel." (Eze 14:9) "With him are strength and sound wisdom; the deceived and the deceiver are his." (Job 12:16) Not only does Yahweh forbid foreign gods, mediums and spirits for their potential for lying, but it would appear that Yahweh wants to be Israel's "exclusive" liar. He's jealous.nigushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06350656178450018602noreply@blogger.com
